An elder sister of one of the Takoradi kidnapped girls, Rebecca Quaison, said the family is happy to hear from the police that, the girls are alive. DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Dankwa, the Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has told the families of kidnapped girls and the country at a press conference that, the girls are alive and they are doing everything possible to bring back. Rebecca Quaison speaking to Okokroko FM Morning Show Host, Osahene Kwame Dapaah on “Morning Bell” after the press conference intimated that they are happy about it but above all, they are anxiously waiting to welcome them beloved kidnapped girls back home. Rebecca Quaison said, the entire country will be very disappointed if Ghana Police fails to bring the girls back after all the assurances given the nation.
Rebecca said the family is giving Ghana Police the free hand to work towards the rescue of the girls. It is a good news to hear positive information from the police. According to her mother, she had strong confidence in the police. It could happen that, the girls are in the custody of the police but they are they are giving them medical treatment to ensure they are healthy before they are finally handed over to the families.
